Music of the Day: Korean Madness!

Posting my Korean music addiction (: I’ve also added lots of songs and albums to the download page.

DBSK - Purple Line (Korean Version)

The Korean version of Purple Line (song in their third Japanese Album - T). When I first heard it, I laughed for five minutes straight. While it has a good beat and is sang by five of the most beautiful voices in Korea, the song’s main lyric starts off with the line “Really want to touch myself.” I wonder if Yoochun feel funny singing that line XD

Lee Soo Young - Grace

I’m such a huge fan of Lee Soo Young; she is the first Korean artist I listened to and instantly fell in love with. She is such a talented musician (lyricist and singer), and her personality is just wonderful - if you watch any Korean variety shows, you would see her hilarious side. Anyways, Grace is a beautiful ballad track from her sixth album, and the music video featuring Lee Jun Ki is hard to comprehend but very beautifully crafted (look it up on youtube!)

Monday Kiz & V.O.S & Ilac - Trivial Love

Currently so in love with this song! The three artists/groups featured in this collaboration are a few of the most underrated Korean R&B artists. They all have incredibly powerful voices that just make you melt (: If you haven’t heard it, DOWNLOAD THIS SONG!

Monday Kiz & V.O.S & Ilac - Shouldn’t Have Loved

The second track in their collaboration single, a slower ballad song, very beautiful as well (:

Park Ji Hyun - The Days I Miss You

His song finally hit #1! Park Ji Hyun from V.O.S is a very talented singer, and his voice is very pretty as well (: This song has a steady beat and a common love theme, but it’s very cute and will definite cheer you up XD

Super Junior - Don’t Don

*sign* I wanted to refrain from posting a Super Junior song, but I just can’t help it (: I know they aren’t the best singers, but I just love them XD Don’t Don is the title track of their second album (released in ‘07). It’s a rock pop song that features heavy instrumentals, including a violin solo by Henry (Chinese SM Town trainee, rumored to be the 14th member of SJ). The song talks about the world’s obsession with money.

I felt really bad for Henry how ELF and others treated him. I support Only13, but still, couldn’t they show some respect for him? // Purple Line is absolutely hilarious with that “Really wanna touch myself.” I was like, “ROFL. WTF IS THIS SONG ABOUT?!?!” XD And the fact that it’s “Purple Line” made me worried until I checked out the translation. ROFL. Totally unexpected. Also died my hair to purple ’cause my friend wanted me to sing the song with purple hair. XD // Don’t Don is addicting. I even learned the dance to it, but refuse to do their pelvis thrust. And I always remember Kyuhyun’s part (*talking to herself* of course, how could you not, Mrs. Cho? You’re practically married to him). What a dork I am. XD // Anna, someday, we’re gonna be all speaking Korean and writing hangul! >D

I know! I feel so bad for Henry too! I wish SJ would just stay as 13, but Henry is pretty much now a confirmed member since he’s going to debut with Super Junior-China. But I guess I’m anticipating it, since it’ll be nice to hear SJ sing in a language that I understand 100% (:

Haha, for Purple Line, I had the exactly same reaction! I can’t believe Yoonchun actually sang that line…seeing how he’s fluent in English and all -_- His accent is really sexy though XDXD *pout*

Haha, we should attempt to learn Korean together (: I so wish I can speak it *sigh*
